Stars sign Radek Faksa to three-year, $6 million deal

The Dallas Stars have signed forward Radek Faksa to a three-year, $6 million deal with an annual average value (AAV) of $2 million, according to multiple reports.

The Empty Netters Podcast was the first to report Faksa would sign with the Stars, while Frank Seravalli was the first to confirm the terms of the deal.

In 70 games with the St. Louis Blues in 2024-25, Faksa has five goals and 10 assists for 15 points in 70 regular-season games. He also had a goal and four assists for five points in seven playoff games.

Faksa spent the first nine seasons of his NHL career with the Stars, scoring 89 goals and 111 assists for 200 points in 638 career regular-season games. In July 2024, Faksa was acquired by the Blues, spending the final year of his five-year contract in St. Louis.

The Stars finished the 2024-25 season with a record of 50-26-6 and 106 points, second in the Central Division. In the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Dallas eliminated the Colorado Avalanche in the first round, the Winnipeg Jets in the second round but were eliminated by the Edmonton Oilers in the Western Conference Final.

Last week, the Stars’ Jim Nill was named the 2025 NHL Jim Gregory NHL General Manager of the Year, becoming the first GM in league history to win the award in three consecutive seasons. Nill and Dallas made a splash ahead of the NHL Trade Deadline, acquiring Mikko Rantanen from the Carolina Hurricanes and signing the Finnish forward to an eight-year extension.
