The Texas Stars are continuing to build their roster for the upcoming season, and their latest move could give them a sneaky boost down the middle.
As reported by texasstars.com the Dallas Stars' AHL affiliate has signed forward Sean Chisholm to a contract for the 2025-26 season.
While the signing might not make waves across the league, Chisholm's impact last spring showed why the organization wanted him back.
Chisholm, 24, first joined the Texas Stars in March on an amateur tryout after completing his senior season at Dartmouth College.
He wasted no time making his mark, scoring his first professional goal on March 26 against Grand Rapids and adding an assist two nights later in Cleveland.
In seven games, he collected two points and a +3 rating, while helping Texas secure three wins on a crucial road trip.
Before turning pro, Chisholm was a leader at Dartmouth, where he captained the Big Green as both a junior and senior.
Over 122 NCAA games, he tallied 81 points (39 goals, 42 assists), including a career-high 27 points during his final season.
At 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, the Caledonia, Ontario native brings size, experience, and a competitive edge to the Texas roster.
The Texas Stars will rely on players like Chisholm to provide depth as they aim for another strong AHL campaign.
His mix of leadership and skill could make him a valuable piece in 2025-26.
I think this could be one of those under-the-radar moves that really pays off for Texas later in the year.
