Happy 40th birthday to the NHL’s all-time leader in goals scored, Alexander Ovechkin!

Ovechkin has played his entire 20-year NHL career with the Washington Capital, where he’s made 12 All-Star games, won three Hart Memorial trophies for NHL MVP, and a Stanley Cup in 2018. While Washington made an early exit from the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2024-25, Ovechkin made history by passing Wayne Gretzky on the NHL’s all-time goals list in a game against the New York Islanders.
