The Boston Bruins enter the 2025-26 season in the midst of a rebuild and a roster filled with a superstar, a few good veterans, and a mix of younger players trying to capture a spot in training camp. The Bruins have had a prospect pool that has been dead last in some rankings over the last few years. By his own admission, General Manager Don Sweeney knows that player development has been subpar. However, that trend is already moving upward with the drafting of Boston College standout James Hagens and the hiring of former Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid as Director of Player Development. The pool of young players is slowly improving, and The Bruins Benders Podcast released their top 30 recently. Here are players 11-15:

Boston Bruins Prospects

15. Simon Zajicek – Goaltender – Providence Bruins – AHL

In May, the Bruins signed Zajicek after losing Brandon Bussi to the Carolina Hurricanes. Zajicek is on a one-year deal and is having an excellent season. In 13 games played, the 24-year-old has posted a 2.02 goals against average and a .930 save percentage with a 10-2-1 record. Last season with Czech club HC Litvinov, Zajicek went 15-13-0 in 29 games with a 2.12 goals-against average and the league’s top save percentage at .930. The Bruins seem to have themselves another intriguing goalie prospect. What the do with him in the future is yet to be determined.

14. Dalton Bancroft – Right Wing – Providence Bruins – AHL

Bancroft signed a one-year contract with Boston last April after a solid career at Cornell University. The forward appeared in 36 games with Cornell University during the 2024-25 season, recording 15 goals and 12 assists for 27 points with a plus-11 rating. The 24-year-old ranked second on the team in goals and points and led all skaters in shorthanded goals (2) and game-winning goals (4). He played in 103 career NCAA games with Cornell from 2022-25, totaling 36 goals and 43 assists for 79 points. Bancroft scored a goal late last season with Providence. This season has been a disappointment as Bancroft has zero goals and one assist in 19 games.

13. John Farinacci – Center – Providence Bruins – AHL

Farinacci signed as a free agent with Boston in August of 2023 after not coming to terms on a contract with the Arizona Coyotes. After re-signing last summer for one more season, the former Harvard captain is at a bit of a crossroads. Farinacci scored a goal in the season finale for the Bruins last year, but has had a down year offensively in 2025-26. The third-round draft pick in 2019 has three goals and four assists in 30 games for Providence after totaling ten goals and 28 assists last season.

12. Oskar Jellvik – Left Wing – Boston College – NCAA

Jellvik has had some unfortunate injuries that have somewhat derailed a promising college career. Jellvik was a fifth-round pick who was climbing the charts on the Bruins’ prospect rankings, but has only played three games this season. Now a senior, it will be interesting to see if Jellvik will be healthy enough to get an entry-level contract for next season.

11. Riley Duran – Center – Providence Bruins – AHL

Duran is a pure bottom-six player who has been blocked by the additions the Bruins made this offseason. Duran scored 12 goals for Providence last season and made an NHL appearance for two games. This season, Duran has just one goal and six assists and he will be a restricted free agent at season’s end.
