The Montreal Canadiens’ season ended in the Eastern Conference Finals after five games. It’s a big step forward for them, and they’ll look to build off that going into 2026-27. Another thing they can build off is their players taking home some hardware for the 2025-26 season.

Nick Suzuki is the winner of the Selke Trophy. Suzuki took home 151 out of a possible 198 votes. It’s Suzuki’s first Selke trophy, having finished as high as 13th in 2023-24 and 2024-25. Anthony Cirelli from Tampa Bay and Brock Nelson from Colorado finished second and third. The Selke Trophy goes to the best defensive forward that season.

The other winner is Cole Caufield, who was named the winner of the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, which is awarded to the player with the best sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct. Caufield finished with 45 first-place votes and is the first Canadiens player since 1988, when Mats Naslund won the award. Anze Kopitar of the Kings and Jake Sanderson of the Senators finished second and third. Both surprised each other with their awards.
