The 14th ranked UMass Lowell Riverhawks and third-ranked Boston College Eagles faced off at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, MA. The Riverhawks won 4-3 in a shootout which was also a chippy game. The game also featured 13 future NHL players with UMass Lowell having one and Boston College featuring 12, so how did they perform?

Umass Lowell

D – Ben Meehan – Los Angeles Kings 

Meehan finished the game as a plus one. 

BC

G – Jacob Fowler – Montreal Canadiens

Fowler got the start in net and took the loss giving up three goals on 32 shots. 

D – Eamon Powell – Tampa Bay Lightning 

Powell finished the game as a plus one. 

F – Teddy Stiga – Nashville Predators 

Stiga finished the game as a minus one and had a two-minute penalty in the first period for tripping. 

D – Drew Fortescue – New York Rangers 

Fortescue had had two blocked shots and finished at an even in plus/minus. He also has a penalty in overtime for tripping.

F – Gabe Perrault – New York Rangers 

Perreault finished as a minus two but he found the back of the net once and would score the first and only goal of the shootout for the Eagles.

D – Aidan Herschuk – Columbus Blue Jackets 

Herschuk’s night ended early as he finished as a minus one and left with a minute major and a game misconduct. 

F – Ryan Leonard – Washington Capitals

Leonard didn’t record a point on the night.

F – Oskar Jellvik – Boston Bruins

Jellvik finished the game as a plus one. 

F – Dean Letourneau – Boston Bruins

 Letourneau didn’t show up on the score sheet and finished even as well as blocking a shot. 

F – Andrew Gasseau – Boston Bruins

Gasseau finished as a plus-one and scored the first goal for Boston College. 

D – Aram Minnetian – Dallas Stars 

Minnertian drew two penalties; both in the second period. The first on tripping and the other on roughing

D – Will Skahan – Utah Hockey Club 

Skahan didn’t show up on the stat sheet.
