
The Utah Mammoth today acquired forward Joshua Roy. The Mammoth are sending defenseman Max Szuber to the Canadiens. This past season, Roy appeared in three games for the Canadiens. He was pointless and finished even in plus/minus. In 57 games for Laval in the AHL, he had 45 points on 23 goals and 22 assists. He was a minus-six with eight power-play goals. In five playoff games, he scored two goals, was a minus-four with a power-play goal and a game-winning goal. Szuber, in 65 games for the Tucson Roadrunners, had 27 points on 11 goals and 16 assists. He was a plus-two with two power-play goals.

The Canadiens drafted Roy 150th overall in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. In three seasons at Laval, he appeared in 145 games, recording 112 points on 56 goals and 56 assists. He was a -20 with 20 power-play goals and nine game-winning goals. In 19 playoff games, he had 12 points on six goals and six assists. He was a minus-seven with two power-play goals and a game-winning goal. In 38 NHL games, he had 11 points on six goals and five assists. He was a minus-eight. Szuber, in 200 AHL games, has 87 points on 25 goals and 62 assists. He was a +13 with three power-play goals and two game-winning goals. In five playoff games, he had an assist and was a plus-one. He’s appeared in one career NHL game. He was a minus-one.
