Vancouver Canucks Sign Goaltender and Defenseman to New Contracts

The Vancouver Canucks have signed goaltender Nikita Tolopilo and defenseman Jet Woo to new contracts which was first reported by PuckPedia.

Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has agreed to terms with goaltender Nikita Tolopilo on a two-year, two-way contract, as well as defenceman Jett Woo on a one-year, two-way contract.

Nikita Tolopilo, age 25, appeared in 36 games for the Abbotsford Canucks in 2024-25, posting a record of 20-14-2 with a 2.66 goals-against average, and a .902 save percentage. He also had four shutouts, as well as one postseason contest, holding a record of 0-1 with a 2.68 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage.

'Nikita had a good year of development in Abbotsford,' said Patrik Allvin. 'He worked hard on his game, and he took a step forward in becoming a better pro. We will continue to work with him to provide the best path forward for both the player and our organization.'

Nikita Tolopilo made his NHL debut in 2024-25, playing in two games and posting a record of 1-1-0 with a 2.15 goals against average and an .885 save percentage.

Jet Woo is a Calder Cup champion

Jett Woo, age 24, appeared in 67 games for the Abbotsford Canucks in 2024-25, recording 18 points (2-16-18), 90 penalty minutes, and a +14 plus/minus rating.

'Jett was a key member of our playoff run in Abbotsford,' said Patrik Allvin. 'Logging those minutes in the playoffs should help him become a better player and leader moving forward. It's an experience he can build on this fall to start next season.'

He also skated in 22 playoff games for Abbotsford, posting six points (1-5-6) and 12 penalty minutes, where he played a key role in helping Abbotsford capture the Calder Cup.
