Vancouver Canucks Superstar's Free Agency Price Tag Officially Revealed

Brock Boeser is set to hit free agency for the first time in his career, and according to a top insider, he's the second most valuable free agent on the market.

There aren't many stars available on the free agency market this upcoming off-season in the NHL, but those that are available are going to get paid in a big way as teams look to add to their roster to chase the Stanley Cup once more in 2026.

While Mitch Marner, Nikolaj Ehlers, Sam Bennett and Brad Marchand are likely the biggest names on the market, there's some very talented players hitting free agency, with former Canucks star Brock Boeser ready to get paid in a big way.

According to Insider Frank Seravalli, Boeser is in line to get the second biggest contract (per annual value) this off-season only behind Mitch Marner, with projections seeing him land a deal worth $8.5 million AAV over six years.

At 28-years of age, he's younger than Marner, Bennett, Marchand, Duchene, Tavares and all the other big names available, and with 65 goals over the last two seasons, if he can find his way onto a consistently good line in free agency, he may be in line for some career years moving forward.

On top of that, the salary cap is still set to go up in the coming years, meaning that if a team can land Boeser at $8.5 million a season, it will look like a bargain in the coming years when teams have more and more money to spend.

Ultimately, there can be arguments made that Boeser isn't the second best player available in free agency, but given his performance in recent years, the age gap between he and the other free agents available and the amount of teams looking to pay big for wingers, expect him to land a massive contract in the summer.
