Watch: André Tourigny Reflects on Arizona Coyotes 2-1 Loss against St. Louis Blues

Arizona Coyotes head coach André Tourigny shared his thoughts on his team taking seven penalties, defensive excellence, difficulties on the offensive side of the ice and more after they lost 2-1 to the St. Louis Blues on Nov. 9.

Tourigny expressed that he was pleased with the Coyotes having a perfect penalty kill as they eliminated seven power-play opportunities for St. Louis

As a result, however, Arizona had 20 shots throughout the game as they were in their defensive zone for most of the contest.

When speaking about the result, Tourigny had some positive things to say.

“I liked the way we pushed in the third (period),” Tourigny said. “Obviously there were things we couldn’t control, but our defense gave us the chance to win that game, they were rock solid.”

As a result, the ‘Yotes are 6-6-1 and fell to fifth place in the Central Division having 13 points.

Furthermore, right wing Nick Schmaltz had an assist against the Blues to stay as Arizona’s points leader with 13 in 13 games.
