Watch: Bruce Cassidy on Golden Knights’ 4-3 victory against Jets

The Vegas Golden Knights are riding a five-game point streak (4-0-1), following their 4-3 victory against the Winnipeg Jets at T-Mobile Arena on Friday.

Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy expected his team’s game to be a little “scruffy,” but was happy how his team handled the opening period against the Jets.

“Usually, when you come back, your first game is a little scruffy,” he said. “I thought ours would be, especially when you’re away and guys have families and haven’t seen their kids. Their wives need a break. It’s just human nature. Everybody goes through it. You lose your focus being close to your family, as it should, so it takes a while for your hockey brain to get on track. That’s why I think the first game’s always the toughest. … Our guys did a great job of it. Obviously, they enjoyed their day yesterday, but we’re ready to go tonight.”

Ivan Barbashev and Brett Howden each scored twice, while Adin Hill made 23 saves.

The Golden Knights earned their seventh straight win against the Jets, dating to Oct. 20, 2022, and tied their longest active run versus a single opponent.
