The Wild have been busy on the trade market under GM Bill Guerin, and that continued into Saturday's NHL Draft. After a pair of deals to move up, Minnesota is leaving this year's draft with three players, which is its smallest class in franchise history.

3rd RD: 83 OVR: Adam Andersson, C (Sweden)

Minnesota used a fifth-round pick to move up six spots and select Andersson. The 6-foot-4 center has plenty of potential after winning the IIHF World Junior Championship with Sweden last winter in Minnesota. He recorded 20 points (4 goals and 16 assists) in 27 games of his last season, and he will turn 18 this summer.

4th RD: 112 OVR: Kayden Lemire, F (Canada)

Minnesota's second and final trade on Saturday included a sixth-round pick to move up nine spots to select Lemire. He's another physically imposing player. At 6-foot-4, he has played for the Prince George Cougars in the Western Hockey League (WHL) for each of the last two seasons. He had 29 points (9 goals and 20 assists) last season, and he'll turn 19 in January.

5th RD: 137 OVR: Filip Ruzicka, G (Chezchia)

To continue a clear theme, Minnesota's third and final draft pick is absolutely massive for his position. Ruzicka is a 6-foot-7 goaltender from Chezchia, which makes him a fascinating long-term project. He played in the WHL with the Brandon Wheat Kings last season, where he had a .906 save percentage and a 3.19 GAA in 42 games. He's expected to play in Chezchia for the 2026-27 season.

Minnesota remains firmly entrenched in trade rumors across the league, mainly with Red Wings star Dylan Larkin. News could come any minute, but the Wild have a three-play draft class for now.
