After back-to-back losses to the Kings in Los Angeles, the Minnesota Wild responded with a 3-2 overtime victory over the Seattle Kraken on Thursday night.
The win wrapped up a seven-game road trip that saw the Wild go 4-1-2, setting the stage for three games at home and plenty of rest in between. Minnesota hosts the Islanders on Sunday, and then welcomes New Jersey on Tuesday and Winnipeg next Thursday, giving them only three games over the next seven days.
Brock Faber and Ryan Hartman scored in regulation, and Mats Zuccarello buried a feed from Kirill Kaprizov for the overtime winner to beat Seattle.

Kaprizov logged two assists, giving him 51 points (24 goals, 27 assists) this season. That ranks tied for ninth in the NHL. Right behind him is Matt Boldy, who ranks tied for 14th in the league with 49 points (26 goals, 23 assists).
Kaprizov also tied Marian Gaborik (437) for the second-most points in Wild history. The only Wild legend left to pass is Mikko Koivu, who is well ahead after finishing his career with 709 points.
With 60 points, the Wild (26-11-8) remain tied with the Dallas Stars for the second-best record in the NHL. Of course, Minnesota and Dallas play in the Central Division, where the NHL-leading Colorado Avalanche (32-4-7) have 71 points.
