It's been 25 years since the Minnesota Wild first stepped onto the ice in St. Paul, and to celebrate the anniversary the Wild will be wearing the franchise's original uniforms four times during the upcoming season.

The original uniforms featured forest green as the primary color at home and white as the main color when they played on the road. Red and yellow were the accent colors.

If you're looking to get really specific, the technical color names used at the time were "Minnesota Iron Range Red, Minnesota Forest Green, Minnesota Harvest Gold, and Minnesota Wheat."

The numbers on the jersey featured jagged edges, which were designed to represent the edges of tree branches and leaves.

The Wild will wear the throwback uniforms four times during the regular season.

  • Oct. 28 vs. Winnipeg Jets
  • Nov. 4 vs. Nashville Predators
  • Dec. 21 vs. Colorado Avalanche
  • Jan. 24 vs. Florida Panthers

Fans who purchase a "limited-edition ticket pack " will receive a bobblehead doll at each of the four games. The bobbleheads will feature former Wild stars Marian Gabork and Mikko Koivu, and current stars Jared Spurgeon and Kirill Kaprizov

The limited-edition tickets to the Oct. 28 and Nov. 4 games range from $78 to $178. Tickets to the Dec. 21 game cost $107 to $239, and tickets to the Jan. 24 game with the Kaprizov bobblehead range from $121 to $263.

The Wild open the season Oct. 9 at St. Louis, and the home opener at Grand Casino Arena is Oct. 11 versus Columbus.
