Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll will start Wednesday’s game against the Vegas Golden Knights. Woll was in the starter’s net during the morning skate, TSN’s Mark Masters reports.

Woll has posted a 21-11-0 record in 32 appearances, with a .907 save percentage. It appears likely that Anthony Stolarz will start Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche as a result.

Chris Tanev was skating during the session, although he won’t play Wednesday. Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube confirmed that Tanev could play Saturday, via Sportsnet’s Luke Fox.

Tanev was placed on injured reserve retroactive to February 25 after suffering an upper-body injury against the Boston Bruins, where he reportedly left TD Garden with his arm in a sling. Toronto’s star defenceman took reps alongside Dakota Mermis during Wednesday’s session, via lines posted by Masters. Philippe Myers remains in the lineup, alongside Jake McCabe, in Tanev’s absence.

Steven Lorentz is returning to the lineup, after missing the past two games with a neck injury. Calle Jarnkrok will suit up on the fourth line for the second consecutive game. Jarnkrok made his season debut against the San Jose Sharks on Monday, where it was clear that he’s still working his way back into top form. Lorentz and Jarnkrok will be centred by David Kampf.

Max Pacioretty did not participate in Wednesday’s skate, as he remains out of the lineup with an undisclosed injury suffered on February 19. Pacioretty was placed on injured reserve on February 28.

At the time of this filing, it doesn’t appear that the Maple Leafs are going to reach an trade that imminently affects Wednesday’s lineup, with all of the expected roster regulars expected to play. Toronto is on the clock to make an immediate upgrade as the final quarter of the regular season is underway.
