A young Quebec NHL hopeful by the name of Christophe Babin has tragically passed away at the age of 20, plunging the hockey community into mourning.

The hockey community laments in tears and grief the devastating loss of 20-year-old Christophe Babin, who recently played for Assurancia Venne et fille de Joliette in the National Ball Hockey League (NBHL).

'We regret to inform you of the passing of young hockey talent Christophe Babin at the age of 20.

Babin spent this past season with the Joliette Predateurs (QJHL), where he had 13 goals, 34 points through 40 games played.

Christophe Babin was just starting his NBHL career and played his first game on July 18 against the Granby Preds.

Previously, he played with Joliette Prédateurs in QJHL for two seasons, where he showed his potential in the last season with 34 points in 40 games and 30 points in 44 games in the previous season.

The news of his tragic passing was shared in an emotional statement by Assurancia Joliette, leaving teammates, fans, and the broader hockey community in shock.
