Zegras & Foerster Score Twice As Flyers Inch Closer To Playoff Spot

Trevor Zegras and Tyson Foerster each scored twice as the Flyers continued their push for the playoffs with a 5-1 win over the New Jersey Devils.

It was their 10th win in their last 11 games on the road.

Zegras set a new career high in goals with his 24th and 25th goals of the season. Both goals coming in a span of 2:18 in the first period.

Foerster’s two goals came even faster in the second period. of the season came in a span of 1:48 in the second period.

Matvei Michkov assisted on both of Foerster’s goals. The young Russian now has five points, one goal and four assists, in his last five games.

Porter Martone’s impressive start to his NHL career continued with another point. He now has points in three of his first five games.

Dan Vladar was spectacular once again as he made 23 saves in his 27th win of the season. It was his 32nd start, second most in the NHL, allowing two or fewer goals.

Their magic number to make the playoffs is now seven.

The Flyers now head to Detroit to continue their three game road trip on Thursday at 7:00pm.
