Zegras OT Winner Puts Flyers Firmly In Playoff Hunt

PHILADELPHIA – Trevor Zegras scored with 1:33 left in overtime to give the Flyers a 2-1 win over the visiting Dallas Stars.

It was his 23rd goal of the season. The assists went to Cam York and Samuel Ersson.

Samuel Ersson made 17 saves to earn his fifth straight win and improve to 13-10-5 on the season.

In his five starts since the Olympic break, he is 5-0-0 with 1.58 GAA and .929%.

Travis Konecny opened the scoring on the power-play in the 2nd period. It was the second straight game the man-advantage has found the back of the net.

Matvei Michkov used his strength along the boards to keep the puck in the zone before sliding the puck to Konecny.

The Flyers did receive some reinforcements in the second period.

Recently signed top prospect Porter Martone arrived in Philadelphia. Spending much of the latter half of the game to check out his new home.

Martone is on track to make his NHL debut on Tuesday in Washington.

But, the newest Flyer may not be the only Flyer could help their playoff push.

Per a source, their is a growing chance that Tyson Foerster is on track to return sometime before the end of the season. This week will be a big test to see if its possible.

The Flyers look to continue their playoff push when they travel to Washington on Tuesday to face the Capitals at 7:00pm.
