USWNT star Megan Rapinoe: 2021 Olympics are 'in doubt'

The 2020 summer Olympics have been postponed until 2021, but the games are even in doubt for next summer as we still do not have a coronavirus vaccine.

Many athletes, including United States Women's National Team star Megan Rapinoe are doubtful that they'll be able to compete come 2021.

"Frankly, I think the Olympics are in doubt next year," Rapinoe said, according to TMZ Sports. "The more I think about it logistically, just bringing everybody together like that with the absence of drug therapies or anything like that just seems difficult."

If the 2021 Olympics are once again postponed, Rapinoe and teammate Carli Lloyd would likely see their time with the USWNT come to an end — Rapinoe is 34 and Lloyd is 37.

Rapinoe is one of the best players on the U.S. roster. She's won two World Cups, two Olympic gold medals, 2019 Women's Ballon d'Or, 2019 Best FIFA Women's Player and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup Golden Ball.

If her time with the USWNT is truly coming to an end, she'll go down as one of the best players to ever lace them up for U.S. Soccer.
