The news comes just one day before PWHL teams must submit their final rosters, with a maximum of 23 active players. With Tuesday’s cuts, the Charge now have 13 forwards, seven defenders and three goaltenders for a total of 23 players at camp.
The Charge signed Gigure, the 2020 NCAA Patty Kazmaider Award winner, to a one-year contract in June. Through 53 career PWHL games with the New York Sirens, she has five goals and three assists for eight points.
The Charge also re-signed Adolfsson and Angers to one-year contracts last July.
Adolfsson, 27, played one game with the Charge last season. She played three seasons in the NCAA with Penn State University, scoring nine goals and 16 assists for 25 points in 68 career games.
The 25-year-old Angers spent five seasons with Quinnipiac, appearing in 97 career NCAA games.
Meanwhile, Poniatovskaia, 22, spent four seasons with Yale University. Her best season came in 2022-23, where she scored nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points.
The Charge went 14-2-4-12 with 44 points in 2024-25, finishing third in the league. They would defeat the Montreal Victoire in the first round of the playoffs, but lose in the Walter Cup Final to the Minnesota Frost in four games.
The team plays its first game of the 2025-26 season on Saturday when they host the Sirens.
