Who Is Biederman?

From Franklin, Michigan, Biederman grew up playing in the Little Caesars program in Detroit, with whom she won three state championships and two national championships.

For the 2022–23 season, Biederman moved to Hamilton, New York, for a collegiate career at Colgate University under head coach Greg Fargo, current coach of the New York Sirens. In that season, she notched 38 points in 40 games, breaking the program record for points by a first-year player.

Over the next two seasons, she earned 50 and 51 points, including her 100th career point in 2024. Her overall production dipped slightly in 2025–26, though she remained steady at 19 goals on the season. As a senior, she led the team in goals, assists, game-winning goals, hat tricks, and plus/minus.

Biederman leaves Colgate as the third-highest scorer in the program’s history, behind last year’s first overall draft pick in Kristýna Kaltounková and 2024–25’s second overall draft pick in Danielle Serdachny.

In 2022, Biederman earned a silver medal with Team USA’s U18 team at the U18 Women’s World Championship, and she also suited up for her country in the 2025 collegiate series against Canada.

What Biederman Brings to the Table

Biederman is unrelenting, using her speed and evasiveness to create space for herself or sneak into the soft areas of the ice.

• Relentlessness: Despite her size (5’1”), she hounds pucks, is tenacious on the forecheck, and gathers her own second or third rebounds.
• Passing: She easily sees a teammate for a cross-seam pass, sauces them the puck on a 2v1, or sets them up perfectly in the slot.
• Shot from all areas: She finds lanes to the net from all places in the offensive zone, and the shots that don’t go in tend to create rebounds and chaos in the crease.

Areas to Develop

Biederman will be one of the smallest players in the league and will have to get accustomed to the physicality of the professional game. Her tenacity reminds me of Emma Maltais or Kristin O’Neill, but she’s a couple of inches shorter than they are and may need to work on playing bigger than she is.

Where Could She Land?

Natalia expects Biederman to be the last pick in the first round. Her size might drop her down a few spots, so she could go early in the second round.

Her style of play might line up well with Boston’s. The Fleet was truly relentless on the forecheck and even on the penalty kill. If Kris Sparre wants to bring that same energy to Hamilton, she’d also be a good fit there. From Michigan, she may also be sought after by Detroit.

The Bottom Line

I’d say she’s pretty safely top 20, and I expect her to go in the 12–16 range.
