Top Three Moments of 2025–26: Toronto Sceptres

The Toronto Sceptres will look decidedly different next season, losing key pieces like Daryl Watts and Jesse Compher and seeing Blayre Turnbull take a step back from playing due to her pregnancy.

Before we have to face the new reality, let’s look back on three of the best moments of the 2025–26 season.

Moment #3: Elaine Chuli’s home-plate-slide save

Goaltender Elaine Chuli, who had been pulled and was skating toward the bench, threw herself across the ice just below the blueline to make a spectacular save. The entire crowd erupted.

Moment #2: Battle on Bay Street overtime win

This season, the Sceptres struggled at home—but they remain undefeated at Scotiabank Arena. On January 17, 2026, they pulled out the overtime win in front of a crowd of 17,856 fans. None other than leading scorer Daryl Watts secured the game-winner.

Moment #1: Bagpiped homecoming for Allie Munroe and Blayre Turnbull

Nova Scotians Allie Munroe, from Yarmouth, and Blayre Turnbull, from Stellarton, had a homecoming of sorts at the Takeover Tour game in Halifax. The walk-in was a little different this game—Munroe and Turnbull led the team just behind bagpiper Heather.
