Vancouver, Seattle unveil jerseys for inaugural PWHL seasons

Vancouver and Seattle are quickly approaching their first season in the PWHL, and fans got their first glimpse of what the teams could look like on Tuesday, as both clubs unveiled their inaugural season looks.

As expected, both teams will head into the season with generic jerseys featuring the city’s name emblazoned across the front. It replicates the look of the league’s original six teams as they wore it in 2024, before receiving names, logos, and branding for the second season.

Vancouver’s jersey introduces a new colour to their palette, featuring “earthy bronze” stripes on their home “pacific blue” jersey and off-white road uniform. It also adds a Canadian Tire patch on the shoulder, with the company represented on all Canadian team jerseys.

Meanwhile, Seattle added a slight trim of gold to their green home jersey and a thin, light blue trim to their off-white away jersey.

The off-white away jerseys align with the previously announced branding, similar to the away jerseys of the Montreal Victoire, who pioneered the vintage aesthetic in the PWHL

“I feel so excited that fans are finally getting to see our jerseys for the first time,” said PWHL Vancouver forward Sarah Nurse. “It truly feels surreal to think that in a month, I’ll be wearing that in a game for the first time. I already feel like we have such a strong fan base in Vancouver and can’t wait to compete on the ice in front of all of them on opening night!”

Both jerseys are manufactured by Bauer, the league’s jersey supplier, and were immediately made available for fans to purchase before the two newest teams play their franchise-opening game against each other on Nov. 21 at Vancouver’s Pacific Coliseum.

“As we welcome Seattle and Vancouver to the league, we wanted their jerseys to prominently feature each city’s name across the front, allowing fans to immediately identify with their hometown’s newest professional team,” said Amy Scheer, PWHL Executive Vice President of Business Operations. “These designs also connect our expansion teams to the league’s foundation while they continue building their own traditions and ties to the community.”
