Now that most of the NFL Week 14 schedule is in the books, it is time to take a look at some of the biggest winners and losers from the action. It was a pivotal week in the playoff races with three games determining first place in three different divisions.
Josh Allen, quarterback, Buffalo Bills: The Bills have their share of flaws, but they are still 9-4, they are still headed for the playoffs and they still have as good a chance as any other team in the AFC. Why? Because they have Josh Allen and nobody else in the AFC does. Allen completed 22-of-28 passes for 251 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in the snow, while also rushing for 78 yards on nine carries, including a 40-yard touchdown run. That is an MVP performance.
Mike Tomlin, head coach, Pittsburgh Steelers: After hearing fans in Pittsburgh chant for him to be fired a week ago, Tomlin's Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens, 27-22, to regain first place in the AFC North while several players, including quarterback Aaron Rodgers, came to his defense on Sunday. Maybe things are stale here. His players still believe in him.
J.J. McCarthy, quarterback, Minnesota Vikings: McCarthy's first two years in the NFL have been marred by injuries and poor play, but Sunday was a glimpse of what the Vikings always hoped to see from him. He completed 16-of-23 passes and three touchdowns in a 31-0 win over the Washington Commanders.
Blake Corum, running back, Los Angeles Rams: You could take your pick for winners on the Rams offense on Sunday, but quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Puka Nacua are regulars in this space. On Sunday, Corum gets his day in the spotlight after rushing for 128 yards on 12 carries and two touchdowns in a 45-17 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
Keisean Nixon, defensive back, Green Bay Packers: The Packers took over first place in the NFC North with a 28-21 win over the Chicago Bears, and Nixon's interception in the closing seconds sealed the win.

Indianapolis Colts playoff chances: It was already trending this way. But the season-ending Achilles injury for quarterback Daniel Jones might be the knockout punch for this team. Given their remaining schedule and the quarterback situation, it is not out of the question to wonder if they will lose all of their remaining games this season. They are now a full game behind the Jacksonville Jaguars, while not having the tiebreaker in the division.
Baltimore Ravens playoff chances: The Ravens danced through raindrops for weeks and made a lot of believers out of people. They have now lost two games in a row and have not looked particularly good for weeks. The only thing still giving them a chance for the playoffs is how mediocre the Steelers and the rest of the AFC North are.
New York Jets playoff drought: It is now at 15 years and is the longest current playoff drought in the NFL. The only other team on their level for incompetence in men's North American sports right now is the NHL's Buffalo Sabres.
Cincinnati Bengals defense: Joe Burrow is back. The Bengals offense is clicking on all cylinders. They are scoring 30 points again! They still found a way to lose another game with more than 33 points.
Time to re-rack the defining stat of the last two years of #Bengals football.

Rest of NFL when scoring at least 33 points: 136-10-2.
Cincinnati when scoring at least 33 points: 4-7
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The NFC South is there for the taking, and the Buccaneers had a great opportunity against one of the NFL's worst teams. They blew it. They lost to Tyler Shough and the New Orleans Saints, while Baker Mayfield passed for just 122 yards. If they miss the playoffs by a game, this is the game you look back at and wonder what happened.
