Tyreek Hill is expected to receive interest from teams in need of help at the wide receiver position after he was released by the Miami Dolphins on Monday.
That said, the veteran who turns 32 years old on March 1 is still rehabbing after he dislocated his left knee and tore multiple ligaments, including his ACL, on Sept. 29, 2025. Such a devastating injury could cause some clubs to think twice about signing Hill to a deal that includes any guaranteed money.
It appears there's another reason teams may at least wait before they reach out to Hill's camp.
On Tuesday, NFL insider Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk revealed that the league has confirmed that "Hill remains the subject of an active personal conduct policy review."
It was first learned this past September that Hill's estranged wife had come forward with allegations of domestic violence against the five-time First-Team All-Pro. Hill later denied any wrongdoing regarding those accusations, and he was permitted to play for the Dolphins up until he went down with his injury.
"Other incidents could become aggravating factors when punishment is determined — including the situation from 2014 that resulted in his dismissal from the Oklahoma State football team," Florio wrote about what could happen if the NFL determines Hill violated its personal conduct policy. "In 2015, Hill pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation in an incident involving his then-pregnant girlfriend."
As Jeffri Chadiha noted for the NFL's website, then-Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey and head coach Andy Reid received consent from team owner Clark Hunt to select Hill in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Per the NFL's website, Hill was temporarily barred from all Chiefs team-related activities in the spring of 2019 as a result of an ongoing child abuse investigation. Hill was not charged with a crime related to that investigation, and he wasn't suspended by the NFL after it "could not conclude" whether or not he had violated the personal conduct policy.
It's unclear how many games Hill could miss if he is suspended by the NFL later this year.
