Another Mike Modano record fell on Saturday night, just two days after Patrick Kane surpassed the Hall of Famer as the NHL's all-time American-born scorer.
And even though this latest record may not be as significant, it's one that's exclusively from his time with the Dallas Stars.
As part of Dallas' 3-2 win over the Utah Mammoth, Stars center Wyatt Johnston moved Modano aside to tie him for the franchise lead in power-play goals scored in a single season.
Johnston's first-period goal gave him 18 power-play goals on the year, tying Modano. But the record will be all Johnston's soon enough. He managed to match Modano only 55 games into the season, giving him 27 more games left to break the record.

Johnston now has 29 goals and 30 assists on the season. His 59 points also put him on pace to set a new career high — he totaled 71 last season and bested his previous high of 65 from the year before.
No matter what number Johnston finishes with this season, he's unlikely to top the 50 total goals Modano scored in 1993-94. However, the single-season franchise record for the Stars, both from the organization's time in Minnesota (as the North Stars) and then the move to Dallas, is actually 55, an accomplishment shared by Dino Ciccarelli and Brian Bellows.
Johnston has 118 goals through four NHL seasons. In comparison, Modanao scored 561 in 21 seasons.
So while Johnston is unlikely to ever reach Modano's level as a team icon, he's now part of Stars history with the greatest player in to ever play for either iteration of the franchise.
