The Michigan Wolverines have to feel pretty good about what they've accomplished over the past few weeks.
They fired Sherrone Moore for cause, replaced him with a head coach with plenty of winning experience in Kyle Whittingham and have gotten their young star quarterback, Bryce Underwood, back for next season.
Now, it's up to Whittingham and his new staff to keep building this team back through the recruiting trail and transfer portal, and they just made a huge addition in that regard.
On Thursday, it was announced that former Oklahoma Sooners running back Taylor Tatum committed to the Wolverines in the transfer portal.
Tatum was a freshman at Oklahoma in 2024 and rushed 56 times for 278 yards and three touchdowns. He also added five catches for 41 yards and a touchdown through the air.

Tatum is a former four-star recruit in the 2024 recruiting class out of Longview, Texas. He was a highly ranked and sought-after recruit. In fact, the 247Sports composite ranked him as the No. 1 running back in the class.
As a senior at Longview High School, he rushed for 1,463 yards and 20 touchdowns, averaging 7.74 yards per carry.
As mentioned, he had an intriguing freshman season at Oklahoma, but the 2025 season was not good. He played in just one game and tallied just one loss as a hamstring injury cost him the 2025 campaign.
More than likely, he'll get a medical redshirt, which means the Wolverines can expect to get three seasons of eligibility out of him moving forward.
