No. 20 Arkansas (14-5, 4-2 SEC) scored a blowout win over No. 15 Vanderbilt (16-3, 3-3 SEC) at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville on Tuesday. The win gets Arkansas back on track after losing two of three, while Vanderbilt has lost three games in a row after a 16-0 start.
Here are four takeaways from Tuesday's game.
Tanner has been Vandy's undisputed leader this season, and his matchup against Arkansas guard Darius Acuff Jr. was highly anticipated. But the Razorbacks found a way to neutralize Tanner, who entered Tuesday averaging 17.4 points per game.
Tanner scored just 11 points in 34 minutes on 3-of-10 shooting from the field on Tuesday, and Arkansas proved that if you want to beat Vanderbilt, stopping Tanner is a must.
On paper, Acuff had a relatively routine night — 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting and five assists. But the eye test proves that his evening was anything but routine.
Acuff made several dazzling passes while leading Arkansas in scoring, furthering his case for both SEC Freshman of the Year and SEC Player of the Year.
The Razorbacks had little defense to speak of in their 90-76 loss to Georgia on Jan. 17, nor in their 95-73 loss to Auburn on Jan. 10. But the Hogs stifled Vanderbilt on Tuesday.
The Commodores shot just 38 percent from the field and 32 percent from three. Vanderbilt had only eight points at the halfway mark of the first half.

Arkansas threw down a total of 13 dunks in Tuesday's game. Forwards Nick Pringle (eight points), Trevon Brazile (10 points) and Malique Ewin (16 points) combined for 34 in the win — a good sign for a frontcourt that has been inconsistent for head coach John Calipari this season.
