Browns-Texans delayed due to high winds, hail in Cleveland

Not many NFL games are delayed due to weather, but the conditions in Cleveland on Sunday afternoon made it unsafe for the Browns and Houston Texans to start on time.

The weather in Cleveland included thunderstorms, high winds and hail. Northeast Ohio was under a severe thunderstorm warning until 1:30 p.m. ET, and someone in attendance at FirstEnergy Stadium shared a video to show people just how poor the conditions were.

Radar clocked 70 mph winds with the possibility of storm damage to follow. The temperature was at 60 degrees and began to drop as the storm set in.

The game started around 1:37 p.m. ET and high winds are expected to last throughout the duration of the contest. At the time of this writing, the Browns were holding a 3-0 lead over the Texans.
