The Orlando Magic lost more than just a game with Sunday's 115-102 defeat to the Toronto Raptors.
As noted by the NBA's official website , Orlando forward Aaron Gordon suffered a left ankle injury late in the third quarter of the loss. The 25-year-old left the court on crutches, and The Athletic's Shams Charania tweeted on Monday that Gordon is expected to miss four to six weeks with what's been diagnosed as a severe left ankle sprain:
Magic forward Aaron Gordon has a severe left ankle sprain -- no fracture -- and is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

While Gordon has never taken the figurative step into superstardom many expected years ago, he remains a pivotal part of an Orlando team that can't catch a break this winter. The Magic have dropped 11 of their past 13 contests and now sit at 8-13 overall and out of the conference's postseason spots. Orlando next hosts Toronto on Tuesday night.
Gordon is averaging 13.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists this season but could now be sidelined for all of February and the first half of March.
