Maybe George Pickens was the problem (or part of it) while with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Or, maybe it just wasn't a great fit. We'll likely never know the answer to that, but one thing is certain — Pickens has been the answer for the Dallas Cowboys in the absence of fellow wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.
Not only has Pickens stepped up big when his number is called, but he's proven to be the type of threat opposite Lamb that makes quarterback Dak Prescott's life a whole lot easier. Through five weeks, Pickens has tallied 357 receiving yards and five touchdowns, finding the end zone in four straight games.
Beyond that, as WFAA's Ed Werder revealed, Pickens was ready and willing to go to bat for his quarterback while speaking to the media, openly addressing the "hate" Prescott receives.
“I don't see the hate that [Prescott] gets," Pickens told reporters. "He's a cool dude. He makes great plays. Quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. I don't know what there's not to like."

Pickens's outspoken approach to defending his quarterback isn't necessarily the wide receiver having a different tune compared to his time with the Steelers. However, his openness to address the topic directly with the media is a significant change, and it's something worth highlighting.
It also appears Prescott and Pickens are getting along more than fine, and a moment caught on camera after the victory over the New York Jets gave fans a first-hand look.

It's anyone's guess how the rest of the year will play out, but for now, Pickens is thriving as a member of the Cowboys, and Prescott has to be thrilled with the added offensive firepower.
