Browns lose another QB as Dorian Thompson-Robinson knocked out by huge hit

The Cleveland Browns lost another quarterback on Sunday when Dorian Thompson-Robinson had to leave their game against the Denver Broncos due to a concussion he sustained on a devastating hit late in the third quarter of their 29-12 loss.

Denver's Baron Browning was penalized for roughing the passer on the play.

Here is a look at the hit.

It was definitely a hard hit with an unfortunate result, but the roughing the passer call was definitely questionable. Browning did not lead with his helmet, seemed to make direct shoulder-to-shoulder contact and it was not late.

Still, it knocked Thompson-Robinson out of the game and forced P.J. Walker into the lineup.

It did not go well for Walker.

He completed just 6-of-13 passes for 56 yards, was sacked four times and fumbled twice (Cleveland had five fumbles for the game).

Thompson-Robinson is the Browns' current starter due to the season-ending shoulder injury to Deshaun Watson. Sunday was his third start of the season.

He had a dreadful start earlier in the year against Baltimore and did just enough to beat Pittsburgh a week ago. He was off to a decent start on Sunday, completing 14-of-29 passes for 134 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions.

The Browns are now 7-4 following Sunday's loss and still occupying a wild-card spot in the AFC with a strong defense. The quarterback situation, however, is going to be a concern.
