Oklahoma City has a great defense, but it was helpless against the series of alley-oop dunks from the Mavericks in the first half. Four of them came off assists from Luka Doncic, who repeatedly found his teammates above the rim.

Dallas finished the first half with a 55-44 lead thanks to all those dunks. It also got a surprising shooting performance from a former dunk contest champion, Derrick Jones Jr. He hit three three-pointers in the first half and also notched two dunks for 15 first-half points.
