McDavid's first-period goal is his second of the series. In Game 1, he scored the winning goal in double overtime.
The nine-year veteran led the league in assists (100) for the second year in a row and the fourth time in his decorated career, which also includes five Art Ross Trophies for leading the league in points. The one thing the six-time All-Star is missing on his resume is a Stanley Cup, and he's doing his part to cross that off his to-do list.
However, the Oilers will need more heroics from McDavid to come out of Game 3 with a win. The Stars stormed back with three goals in a 3:33-span to take a 3-2 lead midway through the second period.
