The WNBA's Rookie of the Year race is going to be a fierce battle the rest of the way between Indiana's Caitlin Clark and Chicago's Angel Reese.
While Clark seems to be the favorite for her scoring and passing, Reese is putting up quite the argument for herself by being a dominant two-way player in the paint. She added to her resume on Sunday in the Sky's 84-71 loss to the Seattle Storm by setting a WNBA record with her 13th consecutive double-double.
That breaks the previous record for most consecutive double-doubles that had been held by Candace Parker.
In a league of her own

Reese accomplished it in one season. As a rookie. With no sign of slowing down.
She accomplished Sunday's double-double by scoring 17 points to go with 14 rebounds. She also added four steals and a block.
Reese entered Sunday as the leading rebounder in the WNBA, averaging 11.7 per game. Along with her 13.7 points per game, she is one of just four players in the WNBA averaging a double-double per game this season, joining A'ja Wilson (Las Vegas), Dearica Hamby (Los Angeles) and Napheesa Collier (Minnesota).
Reese was the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft out of LSU. She is already making her presence felt as one of the best all-around players in the league.
