Bill Belichick announces he’s launching a new football show

Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is keeping busy in his gap year away from coaching.

The 72-year-old announced a new venture on Wednesday, partnering with Underdog Fantasy to host and produce a new NFL show on YouTube called “Coach with Bill Belichick.”

“I partnered with Underdog because Underdog is a sports company run by sports people,” Belichick said in a video announcement. “They want sports to connect to the fans, and that’s what I want to do. I want to find a connection to the fans where I give the fans what they’ve asked me for in terms of content — behind-the-scenes information, decision making that goes on within the organization, a breakdown of schematics and personnel within the game.”

Per a press release from Underdog, “Coach” will take fans behind the curtain of what everyday life in the NFL looks like from game preparation to team building and everything in between.

In addition to his new role with Underdog, Belichick will serve as a guest analyst for “Inside the NFL” next season as well as being a recurring guest on “The Pat McAfee Show” and some other work with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions.

Founded in 2020 as a fantasy football and sports gambling website, Underdog has reported substantial growth over the years with a heavy emphasis on providing more NFL content.

Underdog produces a few shows featuring former professional athletes including “Cut to It” featuring former Carolina Panthers Pro Bowl receiver Steve Smith and “Gil’s Arena” featuring three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas.
