Monday's joint practice between the Detroit Lions and New York Giants featured numerous heated scuffles and huge reactions from both teams' media members on social media.
Practice is over. That was crazy. Fights everywhere. My fourth time covering joint practices…never seen anything like THAT.

Best atmosphere for a Giants practice since I started covering the team in 2013. High intensity. Scrums all over the place. Endless live drills. Coaches + sidelines seemed to embrace it.

At one point, Lions rookie defensive back Terrion Arnold took a massive hit from Giants star left tackle Andrew Thomas.
It was reported after the practice that the 24th overall pick was being evaluated for a concussion.

Detroit's projected depth chart on ESPN.com shows Arnold lining up across from left cornerback Carlton Davis III in the team's starting secondary this season. Davis was traded to the Lions in March after spending the first six seasons of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Other members of Detroit's projected starting unit include 2023 second-round pick Brian Branch and 2022 third-rounder Kerby Joseph at strong and free safety, respectively.
Arnold — who's just the third player in franchise history to wear No. 0 — led the SEC with five interceptions in 2023 as a third-year sophomore for Alabama. He also had 12 passes defended, which ranked second in the conference.
