It wouldn’t be a true NFL offseason if seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady didn’t hint at unretiring again, would it?
In his recent vlog post “Last Week with Tom Brady,” the 47-year-old detailed his experience at the 2024 Paris Olympics, among other things, and soaked up some sun on his yacht in Italy.
Brady decided to show off his arm for the camera, throwing passes to Fanatics founder Michael Rubin, who was riding a jet ski, before making a tongue-in-cheek statement about still having it.
“I just want to make sure all those young bucks in the NFL know if I still wanted to come out of retirement, they still got something to deal with,” Brady said.
Brady’s remarks were likely nothing more than simply him flexing for social media; but given his track history of unretiring and the fact that he’s been linked to seemingly every team that has a QB spot open due to injury over the last few years, one has to think a comeback isn’t 100 percent off the table with Brady.
It was speculated that the San Francisco 49ers, Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets had all reached out to Brady about playing for them at various points over the last couple of seasons when Jimmy Garoppolo (who played for the 49ers in 2022 and the Raiders in 2023) and Aaron Rodgers went down with major injuries.
