With sponsorship from Bass Pro Shops, Kvapil will pilot the No. 1 Camaro, with Sam Mayer transitioning to the rebranded Haas Factory Team next season.
Exhibiting a hands-on approach and a lot of talent behind the wheel, the 21-year-old son of former NASCAR driver Travis Kvapil is the epitome of a grassroots racer.
After winning the Carolina Pro Late Model Series championship in 2020 and the CARS Super Late Model Tour championship in 2021, Kvapil was given the chance to race a JR Motorsports Late Model Stock in a CARS Tour event. Kvapil took full advantage of the opportunity and has since won back-to-back CARS Tour championships for JR Motorsports.
With so much success on the grassroots level, Kvapil made his Xfinity debut for JR Motorsports at Martinsville Speedway in April, achieving a fourth-place finish. Kvapil has made eight starts in the Xfinity Series this season, with three top fives and four top 10s, including a runner-up finish at Dover.
While Kvapil continues to race Late Models successfully, he will now have to apply his focus to the Xfinity Series. However, the opportunity he was given back in 2021 is not lost on him.
"I'm just super fortunate to be able to run this JR Motorsports car the last three years," Kvapil said after winning the prestigious ValleyStar Credit Union 300 Late Model Stock race at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday. "From where I was before I got this ride to where I am now, I just never thought I would be in this position. I just can't thank Kelley, Dale Jr. and L.W. and all the people at JR Motorsports enough."
Kvapil joins rising star Connor Zilisch as a newcomer to JR Motorsports for the 2025 season.
