Charles Barkley got caught disparaging the Golden State Warriors as TNT's "Inside The NBA" went to commercial Tuesday night. To be fair, Barkley does that on camera, too.
"Yo man, Golden State [Warriors] stinks."

Barkley said, "Yo, Golden State stinks" as TNT's pregame show headed to commercial, hours ahead of the Warriors' 124-106 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. Playing without starters Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins, the Warriors came back from a 17-point first-quarter deficit to defeat the Pelicans. Perhaps Barkley thinks New Orleans stinks more.
There's a long history of Barkley disparaging the Warriors. Before the 2015 playoffs, Barkley declared that he "didn't like jump-shooting teams." He doubted a "finesse" team like the Warriors could make enough shots to win four series in a row, but was proven wrong when the Warriors went on to win their first championship in 40 years.
After they proved him wrong, Barkley had to wear his comments. Literally.

But Barkley has been unafraid to voice his disbelief in the Warriors openly. He angered Klay Thompson in 2022 after saying Thompson would never be the best two-way guard in the league. During the All-Star Game last season, Barkley was announcing the game next to Warriors forward Draymond Green when he wished him, "Good luck in the play-in."

TNT is losing the NBA next season, but it's good to see that the imminent departure of basketball hasn't changed Barkley. He'll be doubting and making fun of the Warriors until the lights go out in Studio J. And just like when the Warriors won their second title in 2017, Barkley will admit it when he was wrong.

The Warriors will try to prove they don't stink when they host the Pelicans again Wednesday night.
