Despite being outscored by nine points in the fourth quarter, the South Carolina women's team held on to defeat No. 8 Duke 81-70.
After taking a 5-4 lead less than two minutes into the game, the Gamecocks never trailed again and led by as much as 25.

South Carolina had three players in double figures, headlined by Chloe Kitts.
Kitts averages 10.9 points and eight rebounds per game this season, yet she went above those numbers on Thursday. Kitts finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds, good for her third double-double of the season.

Sania Feagin had 11 points and two steals, while Te-Hina Paopao had 11 points for the Gamecocks.
Delaney Thomas was excellent for the Blue Devils, scoring 14 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting. Taina Mair also had 14 points, while Oluchi Okananwa added 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench.
Duke will return home to face Virginia Tech and Wofford over its next two games.
South Carolina's next game will be on Sunday against No. 9 TCU.
