Louisville achieved its biggest lead of the game, 57-39, with 2:22 remaining in the third quarter before a late rally from the Yellow Jackets made the score respectable.
While both teams combined for 31 turnovers, Louisville was able to convert those giveaways into 22 points compared to Georgia Tech's nine. Despite poor three-point shooting (17.6%), the Cardinals shot 52.7% from the floor. Louisville's freshman guard Tajianna Roberts had a team-high 16 points (8-of-18 FG).
This marks a second straight loss for the Yellow Jackets after a 15-0 start. Georgia Tech shot 50% and went 5-of-12 from long-range, but could not get enough stops or overcome the turnovers.
Junior guard Kara Dunn had 18 points (8-of-10 FG), including this and-one under the basket to give Georgia Tech an early 13-9 lead with 3:26 left in the opening quarter.

After giving up 105 points to Virginia Tech in its first loss of the season on Thursday, Georgia Tech (15-2, 3-2 ACC) has to take better care of the ball and tighten up its defense going forward if it is going to get back in the win column. That will be challenging as the Yellow Jackets head to South Bend to face No. 3 Notre Dame on Thursday.
With all five of its losses coming to ranked teams, Sunday was Louisville's first marquee win of the season. Going into its next matchup with Syracuse on Thursday, Louisville (12-5, 5-1 ACC) will look to continue creating turnovers and playing efficient defense after allowing 60 points or fewer in three of its last four games.
