After leading by just six points heading into the fourth quarter, the South Carolina Gamecocks women's team turned up the pressure, leading to an 18-point win over No. 19 Alabama.

Despite committing 15 turnovers and shooting just 15% from three, South Carolina was able to win its 17th game of the season and improve to 5-0 in the conference.
The win over Alabama improved South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley's career record against Alabama while at South Carolina to 23-0.

Freshman star Joyce Edwards led the way for the Gamecocks, scoring 21 points and collecting six rebounds off the bench. It's her second career 20-game and first in SEC play.
MiLaysia Fulwiley scored 16 off the bench and had one of smoothest assists we will see in all of college basketball for the rest of the season.
Edwards and Fulwiley combined for 37 points, while the rest of the team combined for 39.

The Alabama starters scored 56 of its 58 points with Essence Cody and Zaay Green. Aaliyah Nye was the other member in double figures with 12 points.
The Crimson Tide kept the game close until the fourth quarter when they managed just 10 points and let the game get out of hand.

With South Carolina being able to win games with 15% shooting from three and 15 turnovers, the Gamecocks will be one of the scariest teams to play in March when they have cleaned the turnovers up and are shooting much better.
