No. 6 Houston goes on unbelievable run to beat No. 13 Arizona

The Houston Cougars trailed by seven points with 8:49 remaining in the game, scoring just two points in over three minutes of game time.

Out of nowhere, the Cougars went on a 21-10 run over the final 8:32 and came away with a huge road victory over No. 13 Arizona, 62-58.

A big part of the 21-10 Houston run to end the game was a 12-0 run in just 3:31 of game time.

L.J. Cryer was a huge part of that stretch, knocking down back-to-back three-pointers and forcing an Arizona timeout. Cryer finished with 15 points and was one of two Cougars in double figures.

Milos Uzan was the other, finishing with a game-high 19 points, which was also a season-high for him.

Arizona let a prime opportunity to take full control of first place in the Big 12 conference slip away, and this is certainly a loss it'll look back on.

Scoring just 10 points in the final nine minutes of any game is not a recipe for success.

Caleb Love led Arizona in scoring with 17 points and added seven assists. KJ Lewis added 13 points off the bench and was the only other player in double figures for the Wildcats.

Houston now controls its own destiny to winning the Big 12 regular season championship. They do have three remaining games against Top 25 opponents (vs. No. 10 Iowa State, at No. 12 Texas Tech and vs. No. 17 Kansas).

Arizona will likely have to settle for second, third or fourth place in the conference and a lower seed in the NCAA Tournament.
