No. 4 seeds

If the No. 5 seeds were winners, then the No. 4 seeds would certainly have to be considered losers. 

Kentucky, Ohio State and Baylor all lost games at home to end its seasons. Maryland will have a chance on Monday to be the only No. 4 seed to win a game in the Round of 32.

Big 10 Conference

Michigan, Indiana, Ohio State and Oregon were four of the five teams from the Big 10 that were represented in action on Sunday.

Those four teams went 0-4 and lost by a combined 53 points. The only Big 10 team with a win on Sunday is No. 1-overall seed UCLA.

Sydney Parrish

The Indiana Hoosiers guard gave the South Carolina Gamecocks a bit of bulletin board material. Parrish had a lot to say when speaking on the matchup with South Carolina.

“Without a six-seven kid in there with Kamilla Cardoso (gone) and Ashlyn Watkins being injured at the beginning of this year, that definitely helps us,” Parrish said. “We are not as tall as they are. I think that we have the strength of maybe trying to play a little bit smarter than them and knowing when to pick and choose, when to double, when to help off certain people, when to push the ball, and try to play fast and when to try and tempo it down a little bit."

The Hoosiers did not, however, play smarter than South Carolina and their season ended with a 64-53 loss to South Carolina.
