Richard Childress Racing announced Monday that Jesse Love will make two additional NASCAR Cup Series starts during the 2025 season. Love will pilot the No. 33 Chevrolet this Sunday at Kansas Speedway and Aug. 16 at Richmond Raceway.

Love, 20, made his Cup debut with RCR this past month at Bristol Motor Speedway, finishing P31. He made his second career start Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway, again finishing P31. Love was behind the wheel of the No. 62 Chevrolet for Beard Motorsports at Texas.

“I’m looking forward to being back behind the wheel of the No. 33 C4 Ultimate Energy Chevrolet this weekend at Kansas,” Love said. “Kansas has been a great track for me throughout my career and to have the opportunity to run the Cup car consecutive weeks on a mile-and-a-half track is going to be valuable experience. The focus for these races is to continue learning and understanding how this car feels compared to other cars that I’ve raced in the past.”

Jesse Love adds to 2025 Cup Series schedule

The up and comer has been impressive in his brief time in the Xfinity Series. Making his debut last season, Love finished eighth in the points standings. He recorded his first career victory at Talladega Superspeedway.

Love entered the 2025 season as one of the favorites to win the Championship. He sits fourth in the standings through 12 races, winning the season opener at Daytona International Speedway. Love has tallied eight top 10s and three top 5s, leading 156 laps.

The jump to Cup action has proved to be full of challenges and learned lessons. Love spun while battling Shane van Gisbergen at Texas, making contact with the inside wall.

“I definitely feel like I learned a lot today,” Love said, via Speedway Digest. “The difference between the Cup car and the Xfinity car here is pretty big. The car was really tight in the first stage, and I felt like I just couldn’t carry any speed down the straightaway. The team kept adjusting on the car and I felt like we were going in the right direction.

“The pass there that caused us to wreck for some reason just disrupted the balance so much. I hate how it ended for C4 Energy but am very thankful to the Beard family for the opportunity to drive their car this weekend.”
