Watch: Draymond Green moves closer to suspension with another playoff tech

The Golden State Warriors are already without point guard Stephen Curry, and forward Draymond Green got closer to joining him on the bench after he picked up his fifth technical foul of the playoffs.

During the second quarter of Game 2 in the West semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Green flailed his arms when getting tied up offensively by Timberwolves forward Naz Reid and hit the 2023-24 Sixth Man of the Year across the head.

After review, referee Tony Brothers assessed Green a technical foul, his fifth this postseason. Per NBA rules, players are automatically suspended one game after picking up a seventh technical foul.

The Warriors should go ahead and prepare to be without Green at some point this series. It's only a matter of time (likely quarters) that he picks up two more techs.

He can't help himself.

Anytime a player gets in his vicinity, he's liable to flop and make unnecessary physical contact. In the first round against the Rockets, he hit point guard Fred VanVleet across the face while being guarded and also put his feet on the back of power forward Tari Eason's head after both players fell to the court.

It's an exhausting act, and it's also hurting Golden State. With Curry (hamstring) out until Game 5 at the earliest, the Warriors can't afford to lose Green. Based on his track record, they likely will.
