On Tuesday, Aaron Judge homered and the Yankees won, providing New York fans the two things they want out of every game. The Yankees opened up their first series of the week by beating the Texas Rangers, 5-2, in a game that saw Judge tack on the insurance runs to keep pace in the MLB home run race.
To add to the Yankees' 3-0 lead, Judge sent the first pitch he saw of his final at-bat of the night out of the ballpark. Judge's two-run shot only traveled 326 feet, but was sent just over right field fence.

Judge's ball may have been one of his shortest home runs of the year, but counts just the same. He now has 16 long balls on the season, putting him just one behind the Phillies' Kyle Schwarber and the Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani, who both entered the day with 17, the most in MLB.
Judge holds the American League lead with one more than Cal Raleigh of the Mariners.

Prior to Tuesday, Judge hit his last home run nearly a week ago on May 14 in Seattle.
Judge finished the game 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and two RBI from his home run, furthering his case for his third American League MVP.
After winning his second MVP last year, Judge is hitting .403 with the 16 home runs, 43 RBI, an on base percentage of .491 while slugging .762 in 47 games.
New York then held on for its 28th win of the season despite giving up a couple runs in the top of the ninth.
