For the second time in as many races on Sunday, Kyle Larson was involved in a race-ending crash.
After crashing on Lap 92 of the Indianapolis 500, Larson started second in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte and led 34 laps before a Lap 42 spin relegated him to the back of the pack.
The No. 5 team kept fighting, however, and Larson drove back into the top 25 early in Stage 2. Unfortunately for him, a big crash on Lap 244 incurred major damage to Larson's car that took him out of the Coke 600.

The crash started on the exit of turn 4, when contact from Chase Briscoe sent Daniel Suarez into Ryan Blaney and started a chain reaction. As Suarez spun back down the track, he collected the No. 7 of Justin Haley and the No. 5 of Larson.
Suarez, Larson and Blaney all took their cars to the garage area.
It's the second year in a row that Larson's "Double" effort was thwarted.
