The Baltimore Ravens have one of the best rosters in the NFL, making the 2025 season as good as any to finally put a run together and capitalize on the talent.
While Patrick Mahomes has won three Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills eliminated the Ravens in the Divisional round last season and Joe Burrow is coming off the best season of his career, ESPN NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky believes Lamar Jackson and the Ravens are closer to winning a Super Bowl out of the four.
"This is the best roster in the NFL outside of Philadelphia," Orlovsky said on Monday's edition of ESPN's "First Take." "Its offensive line is gonna be top three. Lamar is coming off arguably his best season in the NFL. Their perimeter players are fantastic. One of the things that was part of the storyline last year that isn't talked about enough is Zay Flowers being out of that playoff game was absolutely massive."

It is certainly hard to ignore the talent on this team. Last season, Jackson (4,172) was sixth in passing yards and RB Derrick Henry had the second-most rushing yards (1,921) behind Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley (2,005), per Pro-Football-Reference.
Not to mention, Flowers led the team with 1,059 receiving yards. While the defense was not as good as it has been in recent years, Baltimore allowed the eighth-fewest points per game (21.2) in 2024, according to TeamRankings.
The 2024 season ended prematurely for the Ravens after a dropped two-point conversion attempt from veteran tight end Mark Andrews in a 27-25 loss to the Bills. As brutal a defeat as that was, the Ravens were on the doorstep of returning to the AFC Championship Game for the second year in a row.
Baltimore swept Cincinnati and lost one-possession games to Kansas City and Buffalo in heartbreaking fashion, proving it can hang with and beat each of the three teams under the right circumstances.
With a roster as talented as any team in the league and a dangerous QB-RB duo with Jackson and Henry, the Ravens are ready to make another run in 2025. If they can stay true to their identity in the postseason, this may finally be the year things swing in their favor.
